A Soggy Cairngorm Challenge

With the rain came the mud, wet feet and slippery paths.
It started with a jog up to the top of Cairngorm and back down, followed by a 35k cycle around the surrounding land rover tracks.

Our team of 3 did really well. Craig lead the pack (Until he missed the turning and ran an extra 15k). John spent the race carrying his body weight in energy drink in his bag, which we emptied out in the last couple of kilometres. I felt I was doing ok until I my front wheel got caught on a rock, sending me over the handlebars and into a deep puddle. (I was not amused but other teams found it highly.)

Huge thanks to all of our sponsors, especially Marathon Oil and for everyone at Barnardos of organising such a great event. So far our efforts have raised over £750 for Barnardos.

well done Marty and team!! I can't wait to join you next year. Will my 1972 Chopper suffice?
